PERFECT POUT XO

That time of the year again! Who hates chapped & dry lips? Um everyone duh! I recently picked up the Kaplan MD Beverly Hills Perfect Pout set, which consists of a lip mask and lip balm. The packaging was what drawed me in initially. The holiday packaging is perfectly designed for the deluxe size samples. I've been searching for some sort of lip scrub and was originally going to purchase the limited edition Glam Glow Fizzy Lip set, but honestly wasn't really impressed with their face masks. Maybe it's my crazy skin lately but wasn't really a huge fan. While I was checking out I found the Perfect Pout box in the line where all the travel size items are. I decided to try it for $23. I used it as soon as I got home and literally fell in love. The mask is so creamy and leaves a nice tingly feeling. I left mine on for about 5 mins. It's very easy to forget that it's on because it pretty much absorbed right in. I didn't put a lot on, but after reading reviews and looking at pictures people posted I should of probably use a lot more lol they caked it on! So after about 5-10 mins I wiped it off with a tissue. My lips were super soft and felt plump and refreshed. I applied the balm next, which smells like peppermint and also has a cool tingly feeling. Overall this product has been great, I haven't been using it long enough to see the long term results that it promises (What it is formulated to do:This must-have antiaging pair naturally plumps and redefines the look of the lip contour while quenching skin’s thirst by deeply hydrating. Both the lip mask and balm reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles around the lip area and protect against sun damage with SPF 20. )

But I really like it so far! If you are interested in a later post leave a comment below! Overall I think this product is great for the price and will definitley last me a while if used 2-3 times per week!

Thirsty?

Hi honeys! I don't know about you, but I am so ready for Spring! This cold weather is not only killing my vibe, but totally killing my skin & hair! I've been using a few different products which are super reasonable to try and give my skin/hair some thirst! I can honestly say after using these products I've noticed a dramatic change in my hair and skin. Being that my hair was super damaged from bleach and hair dye, refraining from heat tools really helped! I try not to use any heat unless completely necessary. A lot of the products I've been using have helped tame my hair a lot so heat tools aren't really needed to get the look I am amining for!

1. Josie Maran Argan Oil Hair Serum: I am in lovee with this stuff! It is literally a miracle in a bottle. I think I mentioned this before in one of my previous posts, but I believe it was from the limited edition Radiance collection. The one listed here is their OG. I usually pump about a penny size amount in my hair after my shower and let it air dry. It's insane how smooth and straight this makes my hair, just by air drying! My hair is normally very wavy and straw like. After using this for a couple days my hair now dries completely silky smooth. I also use this before a blow dry or to put in my hair if it needs a little pick me up/to tame fly aways. I definitley recommend this for damaged hair. QVC has awesome Josie Maran deals.

2. Farashé: I heard great things about this product on a couple different blogs, so I was very excited when I received my sample in the mail. The packaging was super cute and I loved the introduction card it came with. At first I was a little skeptical about the density of the product since it is a mask..I am so used to using hair masks that are really thick and mushy. But this mask can also be used as a leave in so now I understand why it would be so thin lol! I love how this product is filled with natural ingredients honey etc. it smells great and really conditions the hair. I've only used this product a couple times because I do rotate my masks, but it's definitely doing the trick and will stay in my weekly routine. The instructions say for a mask to leave in for about 30 mins personally I recommend leaving on for a little longer, maybe even sleeping with a cap on. The longer the better in my opinion. Your hair will look fantastic after a blow out without a doubt ;) the price is very reasonable and their Rep is such a gem. You can order it here

3. L'oreal Total Repair 5: The GREATEST bang for your buck. I can't believe I've waited so long for this hair mask! It is amazeballs and It will never leave my sight. After one use this stuff diminished my split ends and made my hair so luxuriousss lol sounds so cliché but ya. My hair feels so much thicker and moist is cray cray I use this mask almost every day. You only need to leave it in for about 4 minutes for it to really grip your hair. It's super thick and i luuvs it.

4. Organix Keratin Oil- I've mentioned this before in a post & here it is again :) this is my everyday shampoo and conditioner. Such a great brand that never let's me down! I feel like after using this line my hair will never be dry ever again lol. It literally sucks all the dryness and dullness out of my hair cuticles and leaves them so moist and strong. <3

1. L'oreal Revitalift Eye Cream: I've been using this for about a month now and it has worked wonders. I started using this to help even my skintone and hopefully fade old pimple scars. It helped with both as well as perfecting texture and dark spots. My under eye area is so much brighter and even I am so much more confident without makeup! I love this stuff and I amdefinitely going to try more products from the Revitalift line.

2. I just purchased this body scrub the other day from KMart & I am obsessed! It smells so freakin delicious! It leaves my skin so soft and gets rid of dead cells. I can't wait to try some other things from this line. The prices are really good for the amount of product you get. Especially since all the ingredients are all natural.

3. Last but not least my fave body wash! The smell of this is so delightful :) it makes you feel so pretty and clean. I love the new look and scents they are coming out with. The ones with beads are great too. I believe there is one with shimmer that I've been searching everywhere for! Can't wait to get my hands on it.

*comment if you would like another post on hair/skin care! I've ordered a bunch of LUSH products so I will be able to review soon!

I appreciate any feedback! :) stay warm buttercups!

Owigs Review

Ello! I've been searching for a new set of Extentions for a while now, but was a little skeptical about ordering them online again. Last year I ordered a set off of Etsy that we're very pricey and absolutely horrible! They also had a company website (Miellée) that looked very legit and they had an Etsy shop where you could order custom colors like ombré etc. Depending on the length/texture and custom color the prices varied from $160-$300. The ones I ordered were about 20 inches, but really looked like they were 16. I ordered custom ombré and wavy texture. The young girl was really nice, she was one of the reps from the Miellée company. We communicated over etsy I sent her a picture so she could match the color and gave her shipping info and everything. She said it would take like 5 days to color and process the hair & everything. After 5 days I received a message that my hair was stuck at the Brazilian Border. Lol ooook? So it was about 3 weeks until I finally received my hair & it was horrible!! It was so thin and the hair was totally fried looking. Coming from the "Brazilian Border" you would think they would look super sexy. Nuh uh. I could of purchased 20 times better hair from the local beauty supply store!! So yeah I would definitley not recommend ordering from there!

Now when I order things I non stop research until I am sure that they've gotten all positive reviews & that is how I came across my new Owig Exstensions! The website was pretty to the point and organized which was super easy to order. They have a million different solid colors along with ombré colors where you can actually proportionalize the percentage of hair & color which is amazing!! I ordered them on a Thursday and received them on Monday. Super fast and it is free shipping for USPS. I received mine through express DHL & the only thing that was annoying is that if you don't answer your door to sign they won't leave it unless you leave a note or signature. Wompp, but other than that it was super fast & easy. I also received $5 off for signing up for emails which was nice. Now on to the hair :)! The hair was tied together by a gold band and in a plastic wrapping. The hair was so silky and soft it felt ahmazing, especially for being 40% blonde at the bottom you couldn't even tell the hair was somewhat processed. The thickness of them was pretty impressive being that they aren't double wefted. If you have thicker hair I definitley recommend ordering a second set or I just saw that you now have an option to get them Double Wefted!! (cheaper than two sets) Anwayzz because I have short layers when I first put them in they really didn't blend with my hair at all. I went to get them trimmed & blended at the hair salon down the street from my house (only $20!). I DEFINITLEY recommend trimming exstensions, they will blend so much better! Not all salons will cut them so I would definitley call to find out first. You wear the exstensions as you would normally to get them trimmed. Just make sure you tell the person trimming that you want the least length taken off as possible!

They should use a small razor to trim & blend! If they don't they probably don't know what they are doing lol. After the trim they looked so pretty and long. The color was amazing and blended so good even though my normal hair isn't ombré at all! I am so excited to have these since I don't really mess with dying/bleaching anymore! I curled these the next day and they held the curls so nicely. I wore them all day and the hair hardly tangled. So far these exstensions are by far my favorite..they were only $155 after the coupon which is super cheap. These should last me about a good 6-8 months if taken care of properly..even after da club when you literally tear them out & throw them on the floor lmao. THEY STILL GOOD GIRL. If you guys would like a updated review after two months of these exstensions please let me know! So far I am very pleased & loving my fresh new look :P

KEEP IT or LEAVE IT DRUGSTORE

Hello Honey Buns!

I know it seems like forever since my last post! I've been working on a bunch of different things..I am working on getting some video equipment, so I can start my own channel and make some tutorials for you love bugs! I've also been testing a bunch of new products, mostly drug store, because there are so many new ones that just came out! I am loving most of them! They are definitley a must have in your daily routines. So..let's start by showing you my KEEP it or LEAVE it portion of my blog with drug store products! Enjoy! Xo

*Please comment below with any ?'s or suggestions :)

Lets start with...

:: PRIMERS ::

KEEP IT: Rimmel Fix & Perfect Primer- I am loving this primer! It is amazing for the price and really mattifies my foundation as soon as it hits the skin. It doesn't mattify it too much to where it looks cakey either which is a good thing! It has a silicone texture that brightens the skin and makes a super blenable canvas for foundation or powder.

LEAVE IT: L'oreal Magic Lumi Primer- This primer is perfect for going out or for Spring & Summer. It has a somewhat of a illuminator in it to leave your skin a little shimmery glow. This can also be used as a highlighter to highlight under eye areas or top of cheekbones for more of a pop. I definitley recommend this if you are going out or maybe after for the beach, but for an everyday primer I would leave it. Didn't really fill in lines or wrinkles as well as other primers :/

:: FOUNDATIONS ::

LEAVE IT: Rimmel London STAY MATTE MOUSE Foundation- I really wanted to love this foundation..the packaging is super cute, it is small and thin so it fit really well in my purse & in my bathroom. But boy did this foundation look horrible! It only comes in a few shades..so it's super hard to match colors. You definitely need to mix shades to get a perfect match. It's super thick, so a little goes a long way. Lol of course I didn't figure that out until after..it didn't really blend well at all and once I got it somewhat even it was really cakey. It looked very un natural and didn't have the airbrush finish that I like. Will not re purchase.

KEEP IT: CoverGirl Tru Match Foundation- Great everyday foundation! Blends fantastic and dries quickly. Tons of new shades that match perfectly. Wears for long hours and leaves your face hydrated all day. This is definitley a must-have!

KEEP IT: L'oreal Magic Liquid Powder & L'oreal True Match LUMI Foundation- OMG! I am in love! Both of these foundations by themselves are amaze balls but as a duo are fanominal! They compliment my skintone and make my skin look FLAWLESS. I get so many compliments it's ridiculous. The LUMI foundation line is new but the Magic Liquid is about a year old. They are great I don't think I can live without these two. A fantastic buy!

A few other foundations to buy: Revlon ColorStay a Mouse Foundation, Maybelline FITME, L'oreal True Match, CoverGirl Outlast Foundation.

:: BRONZERS ::

I am still on the hunt for a good drug store Bronzer..I have tried a bunch, but still cannot find one that will leave a nice and blended natural finish. If you have any suggestions, please list them below!

LEAVE IT: NYX Matte Bronzer- Had such high expectations! This Bronzer comes in gorgeous shades, but just does not blend well :( waah

LEAVE IT/KEEP IT: NYC Sunny Bronzer- I really can't decide weather to leave this or keep it lol. It does blend enough to get the job done, buts it's just okay nothing really special. I use this when I need a change in my bronzing routine, just to switch it up, or if I am just running to the store or something. It's good to have as a back up.

:: HIGHLIGHTERS ::

KEEP IT: Revlon Photo Ready Lights- Obsessed with these liquid highlighters! They are to die for! I have them in all three shades. They are great for completing a look. They look precisely polished and blend extremely well. I love love love these and will be repurchasing them. I hope they aren't a limited edition and Revlon will keep the around. I believe they had something similar in the past that they discontinued, but I'm happy they brought these back instead :)

LEAVE IT: Maybeline Highlighter/Bronzer Duo- I believe these are somewhat new. I am not a huge fan of shimmery highlighters/illuminators, so this doesn't really do it for me. Maybe in the Summer, but right now I think it adds too much color and mixes with my contour. And we all know messing with contour=NO BUENOS!

:: BLUSH ::

KEEP IT: Milani Baked Blushes- These blushes are AHMAZINGGG! Just enough pigment that spreads like butter. So happy I came across these! The shades are to die for and are super soft. Perfect perfect!

KEEP IT: Revlon Photo Ready Creams: I'm not a huge fan of drugstore cream blushes, but these are really nice and pure. They look refreshingly natural and leave a nice pretty glow. Definitley a solid purchase.

I haven't used too many drugstore blushes that I've really hated..I tend to use higher end products for blush just because it can really make or break a look.

:: LIP JUNK ::

LEAVE IT: Rimmel London Apocalips Iip gloss- I really loved these glosses when I bought them. The applicator was really soft and flexible so they were super easy to apply. After wearing it for 10 minutes I noticed how sticky and noticeable it was. It really didn't lay nice on my lips..kinda yucky ugh. There's literally nothing more annoying than a shitty lip gloss :/

KEEP IT: Maybelline Buff Nude Lipsticks- I am loving these lipsticks! There super creamy and glide on like butter. They come in tons of nude shades & look super hot with a dark eye! Probably my favorite out right now!

KEEP IT: NYX Mega Gloss- Seriously the perfect lip gloss. Variety of shades, color lasts long, cheap, and slim packaging. Must-have glosses!

KEEP IT: Relvon ColorBurst Balms- Um yes!? Whoever is director of marketing of Revlon should be crowned. These balms are gorgeous!! Not just inside but outside as well. They are so eye catching and I love how it's basically a giant crayon. Genius. They are so pigmented and lasts all night. The matte ones dry out a little but nothing a re apply can't fix. The gloss ones are to die for too. So many shades, loving the dark plum and orange. These colors are really unique and hard to find with drugstore make up. So take advantage now blogettes ;)

:: MASCARA::

KEEP IT: L'oreal Telescopic Extension- Everyone already knows this is my fave mascara :) it's so amazing even if I am using a different mascara I will still prep my lashes with this mascara. The brush individualizes every lash to perfection. Loveeee this forever xo

KEEP IT: Rimmel Scandal Lashes- My second favorite mascara at the moment! Gives great volume lashes! Almost looks like falsies. The brush is huge and doesn't really clump too much thank god! Looks nice all day and really makes eyes pop. Perfect for a 60's Mod look.

For a leave it I don't really have any lol..I really don't experiment with a lot of mascaras..especially because I know the ones that I have work really well for me. Plus if I need to die lashes I'll just use false ones :) (Ardell, Hot Kiss)

Thank you for reading my blog! I hope you enjoyed my drug store keep it or leave it post! Please let me know if you have any product suggestions that I should try or ones that you might dis like!

2014 Trending

Hi guys! I can't believe it's already 2014! I can't wait for Summer & all the trends that follow. I put together a few makeup & outfit looks for Spring/Summer 2014. New Year, New Style, New YOU! Enjoy :) Xo

: MAKEUP TRENDS :

  • NUDES: I personally love nudes! They make looks super natural and go a long way. Nudes this season will be all over the place; Eyeshadows, Cheeks, Lipsticks, Glosses. A lot of people think nude is just one specific color, but there are tons of different shades & textures (matte/shimmers)

  • Contour/Highlight: Contouring & Highlighting has been around for a while, but for some reason is now just starting to trend. I loveeee this look! It makes your skin look structured and flawless. Personally I love contouring with liquid & powdered makeup, but there are tons of ways to do it. I will definitley work on a contouring post for you guys soon, so you can see how I contour & highlight! :)
I love this new line from NARS called ORGASM
Great for finishing a contoured look.

  • Orange: Bright, Light, Matte, or Gloss. Orange is going to be huge this Summer! I just bought a few different shades and I am in love! The color looks fantastic with tanned skin and makes your lips seriously pop. A bunch of different companies make really cute oranges. I know Milani is one that's super inexpensive..MAC has a couple & Limecrime.

  • Inner Corner/Under Eye Colors: I have personally been doing this for a while now, but it's really starting to become popular again. To keep a kind of smokey eye look it's important for the regular waterline to be jet black and dark, so that the under eye color pops. You can also do a look where the waterline/lower lashline is just one color. Or a look where the color is only in the inner corner. All looks are different and gorgeous so mix it up!
These are my favorite liners from Urban Decay, they come in tons of colors!

:CLOTHING TRENDS:

  • Grunge/Punk: This style is somewhat new & definitley one of my favorites. I love different things that normally wouldn't go & piecing it together. Usually something black is needed to neutralize everything or leather :) Super cute. Here's a simple look I put together.
  • Powders: Loving the chic new powdered colors there coming out with. Sea Foams, Baby Blues, Powdered Pinks, & Sunshine Yellows. Here are a couple items I've gathered..
  • Black on Black: I am totally digging the Black on Black. I am a so guilty of this trend! It literally goes with everything and is super slimming. It's majorrrr.
  • Basics w/ Color: Layer basic t-shirts & cami's with bright colors. Blazers, Scarves, Necklaces, & Bracelets. Finish with a bold or patterned shoe.
  • Gold & Silvers: Glitter Gold and Metallic Silver. Shiny & Sexy! Great way to get noticed, weather it's casual or fancy. The Jewelry is everything!

I hope you guys enjoyed my 2014 Trend Report! Please check back for my post on how I contour & highlight! Smooches! XoX

Review

Hello bloggers!

So, I recently purchased the limited edition Head to Toe Argan Radiance Set by Josie Maran online and it's literally only been about a week and I'm already seeing great results! I figured I would do a review for you guys now & update you more on the results later :) Please comment below with any questions. Enjoy!

I've heard so many great things about Josie Maran products, so when I saw this set I couldn't resist! Unlike the other Argan products by Josie this set is the "radiance" collection, which has a tinted shimmer (which I loveeee). Everything is better bronze in my opinion :) This set was originally priced @ $38.00 and I got it for $10.00! A special donation also goes to a foundation for Animals in New Orleans. If you didn't know all of Josie's products are 100% natural & animal cruelty free! They also have an smell amazing of Honey Lavender Chamomile and feel super soft on the skin.
The set contains:
  • 100% Pure Argan Oil for Face & Body
  • 100% Pure Argan Oil a Hair Serum
  • Whipped Pure Argan Oil Body Butter
I've been using the Face/Body & Hair Serum everyday since I got it and I've honestly seen a huge difference, especially in my hair! O my gosh it is soo much softer and easier to work with. It looks and feels 10 times healthier, so much that I feel like my hair has grown a few inches lol. The serum has shimmer in it, but it's really not noticeable at all when you put it in your hair, which is a good thing to me. The oil is great too, I use it mostly on my face. I put it on after a shower and before I apply my makeup. It makes my skin feel really fresh and light I love it. I haven't really used the whipped body butter as much, because it does have a bronzy shimmer to it. It's definitley cute for going out, so I'll probably use it then and for the Summer.

I will definitley be ordering her orginial Argan set when I'm out of this one. I also want to try her foundation and cheek colors that I've been hearing so much about!
